America

Only in America would this be the story
the land of hope and glory
her Liberty with her open arms to the new world
from the Manhattan streets to the outer boroughs the city roars to a frenetic heartbeat
down Florida way where the sun shines from Monday to Sunday
the pretty boys of South Beach everyday is a fun day

The big easy with all its jazz
Las Vegas indeed all razzmatazz
The City of Angels there lives the stars
No Angelo walks just freeway fast cars

On the Loop in the Windy City
The Poles, Irish and German in Unison
Motown sounds from the Motor City
Diana, Stevie and Lady Aretha too

America this is your time
America to sing a new rhyme
Barack you have the chance
to lead out Uncle Sam to a new style of dance
