The beginning...
The cycle of life

Our baby’s first breath, outside my womb
All bundled up, like a little cocoon
The life beside me, who drinks from my breasts
Its just the beginning... I hope, I’ll gets some rest

Skin so soft, and curly hair
Eyes that follow me... everywhere
Turned up nose and chubby feet
That kicked, turned, while I tried to sleep

One, two, three, now where did they go
Covering their eyes, playing... peek-a-boo
Four, five, six, now they’re going to school
Sitting quietly, learning the golden rules

Seven, eight, and nine, I’m glad they’re mine
No hugs and kisses, in front of friends, it’s a crime
Ten, eleven, now twelve, with so much energy to run
Not yet... thinking of sex, that ain’t no fun

Now the teen's have begun
Some... running wild with guns
Shameful moves, and skin tight clothes
Computers, movies and games...
Filling young minds... with drugs and booze

The years have passed, my hair now gray
Mother Nature, sure had her way
My children’s, children, have some of their own
It’s the Beginning... of that first breath
The Cycle’s of Life, that life... just goes on!
