Spring

Spring, has come at last
The ice, now gone from the pond
Two boys, putting worms on their hooks
Laughing, as the worms,  squirmed around their fingers

Little girls, setting on a swing
Singing songs, as they go high to the sky
Babies, in their strollers, watching the pretty butterflies
Little puppies, running after sticks, as they bring them back

As I look towards the glistening pond
I see three frogs, jumping on their lily pad
A little boy, laying on the ground
Listening to the frogs, as they re-deep, re-deep

Looking around, I see sprouting buds, from all the tree
Soon, the fragrance, will fill our nostrels, and the air
Apples, oranges and many other fruits
We'll soon be eating, grandma's delicious pies

As I slowly, leave the park,  I leave behind, the wonderful sounds
Of the birds, and the buzzing, bumble bee's
All the laughter, now, humming in my ear
This... is what "Spring", is all about
