But I don’t think they’re right
The weather is still dreary
From morning through to night
Someone told me it was summer
But I think they’re kidding me
It’s not the sort of weather
For a picnic by the sea

But I they better think again
I haven’t seen a drop of sun
But have felt many drops of rain

Ok, I know they’re right
But when will we see sunshine
When will the days be bright

And they’re not kidding me
It’s just I can’t believe it
There’s no summer sun to see

They don’t need to think again
If only there was sunshine
More often than the rain
When will we get a summer
With sunny weather that will last
And not a few days here and there
