In the schoolroom - children singing
In the meadows - daisies blooming
Overhead - dark skies are looming!
In the fields - the lambs are leaping
In their nests - baby chicks a-cheeping
Gentle breezes - softly blowing
Deep inside - a sickness growing!
Rain on windows - gently tapping
Baby smiling - hands a-clapping
Scent from flowers - Oh! so pleasing
Pain and sorrow - now increasing!
Childhood memories - now recalling -
Laughing, playing, jumping - falling!
To meet my Maker - now preparing
A prayer of thanks - to all for caring!
