They said you must get an education
If you want to get ahead,
You must learn to apply yourself
And listen to what is said.
So I tried that education lark
But it wasn't all that fun
So just before my final year
I said "It's all too much - I'm done!"
That summer break was brilliant
I also tried to find a job -
But my long hair and my clothing
Seemed to imply I was job!!
My friends were all excited
When their exams results came through -
Mine were poor and disappointing
And I knew not what to do.
My parents they were hurting
I was ashamed of how I'd done -
So I applied to go to college
And make them proud of me - their son!
I'll be doing Business Studies
On a course that lasts a year
And "You've passed with flying colours!"
Are the results I hope to hear! |
