"Here - take my pages - read them
Then tell me what you think!
I want you to be honest -
Even if they stink!"
"I haven't got the knowledge -
I have not got the right!"
"You really must - I do insist - Please!"
I relent - take the piece then start to thumb the
leaves.
With the first few lines I am sucked in
And I am well and truly hooked -
Before I knew it I have read
To he end of his whole book!
It whizzed me off to another time -
Another place - to somewhere completely new!
Not just any place -
But a whole new dimension too!
These pages thin and oh! so white
Are full right to the brim
With knowledge, love, joy and hope -
Carefully penned - and recorded here within!
I read it all and I loved it so
And I would love to read some more -
I'm hoping now that you will send
More pages to my door!
