Miss Symphony's scale

Miss Symphony was travelling in the early weeks of Spring
When she suddenly discovered the most amazing thing  -
A tiny little creature with hair of silver grey
Who kept quietly repeating  "My name it is Doh Ray!"

Being pretty friendly - it jumped into her car
And said "Come and meet my cousin - the charming Miss Mee Fah".
Miss Symphony was happy that the two of them were there
As they told her lots of stories as they travelled everywhere!

With the Summer months upon them, they called into a bar
Run by a fluffy yellow creature with the title of Soh Lah!
Soh Lah was a wise one who could tell them where to go
So she give the directions to a friend she called Tee Doh!

All these lovely little creatures soon formed a special bond
And settled with Miss Symphony of whom they were very fond.
'Twas the middle of the Winter when the days were very long
When they gathered round the fireside and first discovered song!

Doh Ray raised her voice a little - Mee Fah followed next in line,
Soh Lah took up her position and Tee Doh finished up behind!
Miss Symphony was most impressed and clapped her hands with glee
"Do that again" she cried out loud "Just one more time for me!"

And so was born some special notes that we now call The Scale
And any song without these notes is surely bound to fail!
All time stood still when Man heard this and quickly gathered round
And they soon began to celebrate this new and joyous sound!

Miss Symphony she named those notes with each little creature's name
And still today around the World - those notes are played the same.
Doh Ray, Mee Fah, Soh Lah, Tee Doh are now part of Folklore
And their wondrous notes will never die  - but live on for evermore!
