You might think me very foolish
A woman with no brain -
But if you get to know me
I hope you'll think again.
I may not be good looking
But my heart is open wide
And if you're in need of comfort
Then I'll be there by your side.
I'm not highly educated
But I know a thing or two
About how life can be so cruel
When you least expect it to!
Perhaps you think I'm nosey
But it's just because I care
It's important that I tell you
That I always will be there!
You might think I'm loud and common
But really I'm quite shy -
I can tell when someone's hurting
And understand the reasons why.
You may think that I'm big-headed
'Cos I'm talking all the time -
But I'm hiding my discomfort
And the hurt that fills my mind.
You may think I've no emotions
But I can assure they are there
As my heart is near to bursting
With feelings I need to share!
You may think I'm just a nuisance
Or some sort of old fuss-pot -
But if you really got to know me -
I think you'll find that I am not! |
