I raise my head and close my eyes
And feel the sun upon my face -
At times like this I'm really glad
To be a part of this Human Race!!
I close my eyes and I hear the sound
Of the rustling in the trees,
As branches sway slowily back and forth
In the gentle evening breeze.
I tilt my head and I concentrate
To the sounds all around me there,
And I hear the lilt of the songbirds call
As they go flying through the air!
I breath in deep through my nose and mouth
And feel the effect of a strong perfume,
Which reminds me of the joy I feel
When all of Nature's in full bloom.
I pick a berry from the little bush
That I bought at a local fair,
And appreciate that it's great sweet taste
Comes from some tender loving care!
I raise my head and I cast my eyes
All around this lovely Earth,
And I thank you Lord for teaching me
How to enjoy my every breath!! |
