Feel the tension

Take your arrow,
Take your bow,
Now take your straightest aim!
Take a breath
As you pull back
And feel that tension strain!

Find your target,
Keep it in sight
As you firmly grip that bow!
And when you're sure
You've got it right -
Just let that arrow freely go!

Oh Cupid!  Wait!
What have you done?
Your arrow missed its mark!
It ricocheted
Off yonder fence
On the far side off the park!

It found its way
Into the hive
Off a lonesome Bumblebee
Who thinks I am
His one-true love
And he's now come chasing me!

So  -  I've took your arrow,
I've took your bow  -
Can you feel the tension strain?
I feel quite smug
As this arrow lands
And I hear YOU squeal in pain!
